At SUM Church we follow the mandate by the Missouri Conference to ensure that all of our children are in a safe environment by requiring all adults who work with children to be certified through Safe Gatherings.   The Safe Gatherings system is comprehensive – integrating abuse prevention and boundary awareness training with background checks and reference checks for all  staff and volunteers working directly with children, youth, and vulnerable adults.
